Hi i was just wondering if there are any issues with interbreeding brother and sister snakes?

how many generations can you get from them if there isn't a problem with interbreeding

i personally dont like the sound of it but i was just wondering what your guys opinions are?

I know you can interbreed brothers and sisters etc, but not 100% how many generations before problems may occur. Hopefully others can answer that question.

There is very little if any hard evidence that it is detrimental to snakes as long as the founding stock is healthy. There have been many 8+ generations of sibling to sibling matings with no observed defects.

But no doubt many people will use mammal examples to push the opposite viewpoint. Probably due to social taboos.
