The VHS was suggesting they may replace their publication "Monitor" with an Internet forum. I think this would be a great shame.

The accountability that comes with a formal publication is completely lacking on the Internet.

I don't think the VHS will last too long if they go down this route.
 
Would be a reall shame if that ever happened.....nothing compares to meeting and talking with people in person and putting names to faces etc.
 
Yeah I would love to be a member of a herp society but its hard in rural towns. Thats why internet societies like APS are a great help to people like me. Otherwise I would be stuck to asking books who don't take well to questions :)
