Hi all :)

Back in November I purchased a pair of Central netted dragons. Unfortunately the female died a short time later (She was feeding well but no idea why). My wife then purchased a young female as a replacement that I have had in quarantine for the past 5 weeks.

I would like to introduce her to the male soon so she can be in the large enclosure and free up the quarantine tank but im afraid she may be to small. Are male Centrals aggressive to the young females? Ive never delt with this before :)

The male is full grown where as the female is around 55mm SVL. With her tail she would be around 110mm. Im thinking I may have to hold off until she is larger, although the female I had was substantially smaller than the male anyway.

Any help would be great

Thanks
Adam

So yeah anyway ive measured the little girl up and she is 65mm SVL...

i would wait till its a bit bigger put the cages close together and see how the male reacts

Hey thanks :)

Just have to work out how to move 2 4ft enclosures together :)

ctenophorus sp as a general rule are quite non agressive, even 2 males together havent done damage to eachother, just chasing, feed her up a bit untill shes a little bigger then introduce her a bit closer to breeding time

i would probably be fine introducing my 4 2month old tawnys in with an adult male but to be on the safe side i wont till they are at least double the size they are now
