So how do i go about weanig my little beardies onto veges, just leave them in teh cage to tempt them? make 'em smell nice?

How did/do you go about doing it?

give them a choice of different ones to get them started like mine likes carrots most but once they find one they like you can change it easier.

just offer the vegetables before feeding them any live food and sometimes if you rub a bit of them on there nose they will start to get a taste for them. sounds a bit weird but it has worked.

dont know realy. i just put them in a dish for them and they just go for it.
bok choy works best for me...

Thanks ill give these a try, i was told they were being trialled on bok choy, but hadnt taken any so far, so ill just try with that fo a bit, then try other stuff when that doesnt work lol.

An all cricket diet is wayyy to expensive haha

i heard people put mealworms in the salad, and then the beardies see the mealies and go 4 them and get the salad with the mealies.

Will

yes they are fatty. and for young dragons that age.
pinhead crickets will be suffice together with their vegies and salads.
be very sure never to feed them iceberg lettuce though

forgot to ask how old/big are they?

feeding a beardy pin heads is a good way to send yourself broke lol

i left them on their basking spot, not directly under the light though, so they were constantly walking over them.

mine love chinese broc, bok choy, green beans, yellow capsicum and butternut pumpkin.

as already mentioned dont let them stuff themselves full of insects first.

if u put meal worms in theyr'll just pick them out, doesnt make a difference with their salad eating. :p

start breeding roaches, mine prefer them to crix and its sooo easy,....

umm born on the 28th of dec.
So just over two weeks old.
they are so lively for so young D:
Probably between 7-12cm each? i dont have them here right now, so im just guessing.

i just get them from a local pet store, so im probably being over charged, but they are cheaper than other stores around my area.

yeah i buy mine in bulk for about that. how many do you get in a medium or large sized cricket tub?

got no idea, i only buy crix 4 my geckos, so its not really worth ordering online.

ewwww, crickets,..!!!

you can try breaking little pieces of veggies and dropping them in front of them the movement gets them to eat it or you can also move the pieces around with a skewer plus leave veggies in there for 24/7 [ refresh a couple of times a day ] once one starts eating them the others will follow it doesn't take long
cheers Deano :D:D:D

If they're only several weeks old, the breeder I got mine from suggests baby food, mashed vegie/fruit range. Once they readily eat this, you can start introducing diced vegies mixed with the baby food then slowly reduce the baby food until it's only fresh vegies & fruit.

Hi mine weren't into there veg so i added a bit of orange juice or apple juice.
they liked and are still loving there veg , which i grow at home.
