Yeah its legal.
There was a different one on there few weeks back for only $60

the only time you need a licence to my knowledge is when you are stuffing native animals.

have fun getting it to you tho customs are pretty hardcore on taxiedermied animals

i thought it would have a hard time coming into the country. with all the strick import rules for live animals i would have thought dead ones would be the same. could still carry parasites and bugs

Its already located in this country so customs have nothing to do with it.

We have two stuffed cobras with a stuffed mongoose and it is legal. Was bought about 30 years ago at Birkenhead Point Markets.

I think it may be ok as long as it doesnt have real fangs still. They would need to inspect it of course. Customs is very strict and so they should be. I wouldnt bother getting it, too much hassle I reckon.

well i still think there dodgy dead or alive its still a exotic and who says customs has even seen them when they were imported :D

I am not sure about the exotics but last time I asked someone who I consider a knowledgable source, I could not have a stuffed reptile in my pet shop because it was as illegal as keeping the living thing in the shop.

I found out today that they don't bother policing it anymore and it will not threaten your license although you are still required to obtain an import/export permit when moving it between states.

They are legal if they were imported and AQIS customs cleared them. It is no problem to import them, just apply and wait for the import permit. You do not require any permits for them once in the country. A freely tradeable item.
