I didn't think it looked real either. Didn't know rattlers can be so ugly. They are pretty snakes.

And the first aid crew were taking their time...aren't rattlers dangerous? I've seen pics of someone's arm after being bitten by a rattler...unless that was fake too ....I am a gullable person.
