today i had an excursion with my zookeeping class to the john marony facility at windsor.
ive gotta say it was one of the best experiences ive had to do with rehabilitating native wildlife. they get inmates helping with the animals and it helps the prisoners too, the blokes in the program rarely reoffend after a bit of time with the animals
they had most things you'd expect, macropods etc. only a few snakes, some diamonds and a big fat red belly
anyway just thought id post so if any1 ever gets the opportunity to check it out they should
