I have a 7 year old jungle that at this time of the year tends to do laps of his enclosure all day and night, I think I know why we also have a female Bredli in the same room that maybe driving him crazy trying to get to her, could this be the case, he has refused food and I have checked for mites.

It's normal for male Carpets to pace their cages and go off their food at this time of the year. It's a hormonal thing, and would happen even in the absence of a female nearby.

I also have a female Bredli in the above enclosure of my male Jungle and he has totally trashed his enclosure pacing around constantly even in the cold areas for the last 3 weeks refusing food also....its just that frustrating time of year for them

My 20 month old olive male, and similar aged male pygmy are off their food as well - even though their female equivalents have recommenced their weekly shovelling. It's all normal. I probably won't try either of them on their food again for another three or four weeks yet.
