i have had this 22 mnth old male jungle for about 5months now he has only eaten 1 time when i first got him a hopper mouse . i was under the impression that wen they go off food and dont eat they also dont shed as they aint growing? but mine is showing the sighs of shedding. eg:milky eyes and the rest. any one got any answers for me thanks chicka.

also he is loosing heaps of yellow and is obviously heaps small for age

i also included a pic of sibling just to show he really is that age and colour he was roughly.

Haha his eyes look freakyy

I didnt see the milky eyes with mine when she shed, not sure if i missed it or it just wasnt noticeable

dosent sound good. going off food through a shed is normal. a normal shed usally takes about a week. you dont say what temps you have in your enclosure. ect. hot end, middle, cool end. if your snake isnt warm enough that will put him off his food

Sometimes I notice that my snake will go "milky"before a shed and sometimes he won't. It definately looks like your snake is trying to shed though with the milky eyes. Like "funcouple said, it may be that the enclosure is not warm enough. You could also try spraying him with skin shed or soaking him in a luke warm bath to aid in shedding.

It's normal for a snake to go off food during a shed but for 22 months old he is tiny. I would take him for a check up at the vet to make sure nothing too sinister is going on.

the same as all my snakes bout 30 -32 hot 24 -26 cold . iv tryd everythin to get it to feed live scented . but on a plus i did see it eat once so i no can if you no what i mean. chicka

for starters if he isn't eating he's probably stressed, so stop handling him! Snakes do grow whilst not eating but only at a very slow rate. So shed is normal, but get him eating again before you handle him. Are your other snakes eating well?

the thing is though he hasnt gone off food just through the shed he hasnt eaten in say 4 months

hey disaster piece ive been througfh all this i never hanlde him anymore because the reasons u said for say the last 2 months . only to get this pic. they are all good except my hatchie olive which i got on scented food and tryed to have a go at getting him to eat . but hasnt been very succesful. i am keeping the olive and this jungle in little click clacks as ppl sugested . chicka

maybe do as Rache said, have your snake checked by a vet. everyone here will try and help, but its all abit of a guess
