Hi All I have a jungle about 3 or 4 years old it has stoped eating. It had a absess in it mouth went to the vsts cleared up but now it wont eat took it back to the vet they have tried I have tried just about everything feed it at night and morning lunch time but it just wont eat and body out there can help it would be great as this is my fav pet. I do have a slurry to feed him but really want him to eat regular again. If you can help email me on [email protected] this would be great thanks micky..........:(:? I really don't want him to die......:(:cry:

a method I have used for animals that for one reason or another stopped feeding is to offer a freshly killed mouse or small rat that is still shaking after just being (humanely) killed.. even animals that have stopped feeding or very fussy feeders can usually be tempted with fresh killed rodents. and once it eats one or two smaller than usual fresh killed food items follow on with a thawed one..

If it wont eat fresh killed maybe there is still a problem with its mouth? so Id suggest getting the vet to check if the abscess is still there (even if it looks like its cleared up) or if theres any problem with its jaw.

Just to let you know it was in the vets for about 2 weeks they could not get it to feed eather but last Thursday it gave up the fight to live and passed away at about midnight. Very sad as this jungle never bit or would never even strike at you was very plassed loved beeing around the kids will never be able to replace it sad but still have my other snakes as well.. thanks for the help

really sorry to hear that mate.. It really sounds like there were definitely health issues with the jungle and not eating was just a sympton of these. what was the vets diagnosis on what was wrong with her?

That's so sad. I literally felt my stomach sink when I read your post.

Agreed, Colin, there must have been something else going on with it. Do the vets have any clues?

I feel for you :(
