looks like a small komodo ta me Fuscus, similar looks to "fatty" at taronga! :?

I think the deadliness of the bite for humans anywhere near civilisation is largly overated (m referring to the bacteria thing not if it kills physically kills you, lol) The wound/s could be treated successfully in a hospital surely provided you acted quickly. not like a poor prey animal that is slowly infected and dies. perhaps that one is particularly placid.[ cb speciman?]

Pffffft. The keepers at Taronga pat their Komodo like that too

LOl thats what i meant red, the komodo we saw at taronga just waddled out for a feed, placid as! to fat to care Lol :lol:

I got a DVD about Komodos with some loud mouth bloke in Khaki. Anyway, the gist of it is that they are generally placid except when they sense food then they go into a feeding frenzy and chase loud mouthed blokes up trees. I'm guessing that they keep those dragons very well fed in those zoos which would keep them nice and placid.
