I just got an 8 month old diamond python and I've heard that if you use specific lighting it helps them to colour up? If anyone can let me know some good lighting (brands and types of bulbs etc) to use for this it would be really appreciated. If anyone has tips to avoid diamond python syndrome that would be great too. I keep finding mixed answers!

I think what you mean is that the diamonds may look better under certain lighting? I've never known a diamond to 'physically' become more colourful due to being exposed to any particular lighting.

I believe some lengthy threads on DPS can be found if you do a search.

I have heard somewhere that UV makes the yellows brighter but sounds a bit much like a sales pitch to me.

The heat lamp I have Brings out the colours on my coastal. Looks great. Cant remember the make off hand. Got it at Argy
