That last photo has been around for a lot longer than the bear story, and the bear story is exaggerated. The photo of the body was not attacked by a bear (when I first saw it the story was that a ranger running through an African Game Park was brought down by a lion). A dead giveaway is the fact there are palmfronds in the pic with the body, but the bear photos were taken in Canada/Alaska.

That bear is still huge, I had seen it previously but it still awes me when I see it. Blooody massive and I certainly wouldn't want to come across it in the wild.....
