Lizard decision?

For my birthday I'm getting a new lizard and is tossing up between a common scaly foot or a black headed monitor. which one would u get and why. this will make my decision much easier thanks.

Depends on if size of the enclosure is an issue, big difference between these two. Black headed monitors are very shy and MOST wont handle very well if at all.

Me personally i would be getting a V.trisis orientalis, lovely looking monitor species

Nah not really, i think they are like geckos to a certain degree.
