Hi all,
As some of you may know, I recently shifted up to Cairns for university. The moderators approved this thread in December – thanks mods! – but I was waiting for the working year to get started. Then I had a three-week intensive maths bridging course, which only just left me enough time to breathe.
Now that I can breathe freely without calculus and cubic functions weighing on my chest, it's time to try the APS network. I'm wondering if anyone here is looking for an employee in Cairns or knows of someone who is. Since it's the 21[SUP]st[/SUP] century, I should also say I'd be more than happy to work remotely over the internet – and some of my skills are well suited to this.
My experience lies in proofreading (eight years), office administration (ad hoc work here and there over my working life that adds up to about year) and in retail as a bookshop assistant (my first job after I left school). I have a university degree and a graduate certificate, and I'm starting my second degree on Monday.
Please don't let any of that put you off – I'm happy to try anything within my capabilities. All I need is a flexible job that I can juggle with my studies.
If you're interested, please PM with details of the job. Thanks for reading.
Kind regards,
Renenet
