I recently gave a young beardie to a 12 yo boy..He was devoted to it but last night, some low life entered the rear patio and all they stole was the beardie..The kid is away until Monday and his mother dosnt know how to break the news to him.
About 3 months ago, i had a couple of outside enclosures broken into and lost a 9ft coastal and some beardies.
So watch out if you live in the Parramatta area.
If i ever find out who..............WATCH OUT

Crikey, that sux Bobcox, ill up my security. pm me, i have some beardys cookin, maybe i can help the poor kid. :(

sorry bout the name, how embarressment.

Thanks for the offer but i really dont know how it is going to affect the boy...It was his first very own pet and he used to sit infront of the enclosure talking to it and just watching it..his first action of a morning was to get up and feed it. The beardies name was dracko. I am not looking for charity on his part but it stinks. I would gladly buy the thief a beardie if he was to return the stolen one. Then i would break his legs.

thats terrible, that will realy upset the boy. my first snake died and not eventhe vet new why i was doing every thing right and it looked so healthy. then one day it died, the only thing the vet could think of is that it would only eat live pinkies and that maby it ate a bad one.

point of the story is that after i lost my first herp i realy wasn't sure if i wanted another and it was about 17 months after that i got a beardie. i just hope the boy doesn't lose interest.

good luck and i hope somthing works out. if i had a hatchling beardie i would give it to him but unfortunatly i don't

I had some dickhead break-in to my house last March, just to still a pair of Coastals, including my first snake. I feel the same way; if i find him (or any other sorry-ass prick that I catch in my home), I'll make sure that he is NEVER able to break into a home for the rest of his miserable existance.

Sorry to rant again. It still makes my blood boil.

RE: Re: Low life thiefs

i have a mate who keeps expensive native australia birds and he puts an electric cattle wire around the averyt and its been very effective. he has had two attempts this year and stopped em both times.
worth a thought

RE: Re: Low life thiefs

Another sad stolen herp story, it really sux especially so when some low life scum bag steals from a kid, stealing itself is bad enough and they all should be drawn and quatered, although that would be too good for them IMO, but to knock off a kids pet is just the lowest form of low.

RE: Re: Low life thiefs

did you mean the beardie's name was draco, like the harry potter character?

cos i have also lost an animal named draco... must be the name.

Hope the boy is ok...

RE: Re: Low life thiefs

Are you sure the mum hasnt left the enclosure open and its escaped, its easier to blame someone else when you make a stupid mistake, not accusing or anything, just heard of that happening before.
