Yep, don't. Macleays are in the top 5 hardest species to keep successfully in captivity. They are very demanding and have zero tolerance for shortfalls in husbandry. They require nothing short of aquatic perfection when it comes to water chemistry and they have a specialised diet that you cannot short-cut.I’m in Victoria and I’m thinking of getting a Macleays as a first turtle any advice
Yea don't I would recommend an ELN as a first turtle. Macleays are right up there they are not a first turtle by any means any stuff up in water chem or diet no matter how minor a macleays will not handle it well.I’m in Victoria and I’m thinking of getting a Macleays as a first turtle any advice
