madagascars snakes

I have been wanting to know what the answer to this question is for months now.. i have heard different things about the snakes in Mad as regarding VENOM.. Are any of Madagascars snakes venomous? Almost every person tells me something diffrent (which i hope wont happen now!!)..

The confusion probably lies in the fact that the only venomous snakes found in Madagascar are rear fanged colubrids and are generally regarded as mildly venomous and not usually dangerous to man.
It is one of my favourite areas and one I hope to travel to in years to come.
