It does look female from those photos (they're not the best), but as it's only a year old it may still start developing male secondary sexual characteristics. They all look like females when they're young. Some start looking male from a small size/age, others take more time.
X-rays only works on mature adults, by which time they're clearly male or female just by looking at them.
I've normally found males to be bolder from a much younger age and have picked out a number of males that way (which I later found out were, in fact, males from the people that bought them), but it's always possible to get an unusually bold female, too, as Nick has pointed out.
Give it a bit more time, you never know. Could still go either way. If it were an adult and had that head shape, though, I'd say female.
