Staying at the hotel ibis little bourke street ! How far from the zoo is this and how long will the zoo take to enjoy ? can it be done in 2-3 hrs ? what is the price of entry ?

yeah the zoo is not far from there, about 10mins to drive and it will take you about 30mins by tram.

if you want to only see the reptiles then 1hr is fine for that, but 2-3 hrs is plenty of time i reckon.

there is also a reptile store near the victoria markets that won't be too far from where you will be, check that out, its worth a look, but thats all i am going to say about that :)

Yeah my wife is going to be in a meeting for about 4 hours on saturday so i will have to have a roam around thinking of doing the zoo on sunday morning .

LOL Mate :) If ya wanna see some herps you can handle instead of just look at at the zoo ya welcome to drop into my place mate :)
Providing I don't have to work :)

and you are suggesting he goes to some dudes house he knows from the internet. Are you on crack?
Samma, not everyone you meet on the 'internet' is an axe wielding freak. Quite a few on this board know each other personally and an invite like this is not uncommon.

I myself, as a single female, travelled Australia a few years back, meeting the people I spoke to online regularly. I had a wonderful time, met a heap of wonderful people, had not one scary moment and the friends I made are valuable assets that have enriched my life and experiences.

Sure, there will be loonies out there, but they aren't as common as mummy told you they would be. A little common sense goes a long way when meeting people, but no more so from the internet than in real life.

I've met HEAPS of people though the internet! And yes, I have gone to their houses without knowing them in person!! Haven't come across a feak yet.... Unless we include OuZo?? ;)
My closest male friend and I met through an internet chat room and then we met in a shopping centre. I think I freaked him out more than the other way around as I was in full goth attire lol.
Otherwise yeah, didn't know half of the people that I am now mates with other than through the net until I 'took the plunge'
That's how we conduct reptile sales isn't it? People email you, you email back and then they come to your house!
I also don't drive and back when I was 15+, used to have a glorious time catching a train out to the other side of town and jumping in the car with someone I hod only spoken to over the net and telephone to have a look at the thing that I was interested in buying! Scared the hell out of my Mum lol
Just did that one about 2 years ago and my other half had a hissy fit over it LOL
Bex ;)
