After some opinions/ideas about what to do with my intergrade eggs. They are at day 51 today and I`m due to go on holiday for a week when they will be at day 57 if they havent hatched by then. My neighbour is able to care for them while I`m away but prefer he didn`t have the worry of looking after someone elses eggs/hatchies while I`m sunning myself and working hard at keeping hydrated;).
They`ve been incubated over water at 31.5 give or take.

i thnk you'll find they will hatch b4 57. have they begun to colapse yet. as long as you have a reliable enclosure for the hatchies your neighbour wont have to do anything more than just check on them.

Try and find a local fellow herper to check in on them for you:)

tahniandshae, they`ve always been slightly collapsed but they are starting to collapse a little more over the last 4-5 days.

By the sound of it Norm they are not far away from hatching...With anyluck they will hatch before you leave,if not try and get someone that has cared for hatchies before, not sure if ur neighbour has but its worth finding someone that has...

My neighbour does have a couple of snakes but hes never had anything to do with hatching eggs before (neither have I!). The only other guy I would trust to do it and has had a LOT to do with hatchies will also be away!
So I`m keen to hear from others who have had similar experiences and find out what they did.
Keep in mind I`m not about to let any old body who says they can help into my house while I`m not there!
If so close to hatching is it possoble to transfer the eggs to a large click clack on a heat mat allowing them to hatch themselves and stay in that until I return? Or should I leave them in the incubator and let my neighbour check them transfering them to their individual ckick clacks once they`ve hatched?
