Thank you heaps everyone for reading this post and going off topic (I actually enjoyed it *LOL*) Well, the turtle man has been found. Apparently he swam overseas.

Hi Brodie!! I thought of that possibility before I actually purchased the turle, but he had about 6 other turtles of differing species that were of the size and health that the only possibility left was if he bought off turtle breeders... and I don't think breeders would be willing to sell to unlicenced people because it would have put their own licence at risk. I don't know...I'm open to all suggestions though. The whole situation was just kind of illogical. Hmm...maybe he just never checked his e-mails? I have had a few breeders who disappeared during pretty certain purchases. Kind of frustrating but I guess everyone has their own reasons.

If you picked the turtle up, obviously you'd know where he lives/his name? Call 1223 and ask for a phone number, or better yet, go and visit him.

Lesson = ALWAYS get their licence details before handing over cash.

sxereturn, yes I do know where he lives, and do know his name and number. He lives just up the road from me (which was quite a surprise when it came time for me to pick him up). I just don't want to harass the poor guy if he's trying to run away from me for some reason. I'm a bit timid when it comes to these things. I would hate to make someone feel uneasy (I can sense a lecture coming on...). I've learnt my lesson and I shall spread the word. Thanks heaps I know I was stupid, but I won't be repeating that again!! If you want to know why I was in such a rush....coz that day my mini skirt ripped down the side and I had to hold onto it until I got back onto the car. I was trying to be as least conspicuous as possible. *LOL* Anyway, that's off topic. What I shall do is e-mail him now! Maybe he will feel like e-mailing back after 3 months All in good spirits~and thanks for the advices!!
