i was watching the croc hunter and he said that they dont bit just wack ya with tails.
is that true?

Kept a very large one nearly 20 years ago. Would bite you every chance it got without fail. So the answer as far as I am concerned is FALSE

initially they might try and deter you with a wack but ultimately the can give a good bite.
