Hey all,
Since i just saw lazyboys thread on the gym, i thought this would go down nicely next to that thread! lol
Was my 24th on Saturday and i had a get together at our place....
I have been talking for ages with a bloke that i work with about making extra large food items....
We started with a hamburger as its the easiest to make without making custom ovens lol (thats the next project lol)
He did it a couple of months ago by himself and made a big one, so i got talking to another mate and he was keen to go for it on my birthday!
Alright, so here we go!
First i started with 500gms of beef mince each.... then i made up some home made burgers, combined the eggs, garlic, bbq sauce etc to make the patties!
In the end they weighed in at 611 grams each!
So after that we cooked up a normal bbq dinner for all the other guests! Big thanks to Mrs I's hubby for cooking!
Then we threw on our burgers to cook while everyone else ate....
Then to fry up the eggs and bacon for the burger...
6 rashes of bacon each, and i wanted 5 eggs each, my mate Tim wanted 2.... so we settled for 3 each with the adjudication of Mrs I's hubby again! lol
With the tops of the buns toasting on the bbq it was time to start building them!
After the meat went 8 generous slices of cheese each, the 3 eggs each and the 6 rashes of bacon each, topped off with a bucket load of tomato sauce, a whole lettuce leaf each and then another bucket load of mayonaise!
BURGERS BUILT! (Tim on the left, me on the right) At this stage i nominated the name of "Colossal Colon Clogger"
The first bite was the easiest! As you could imagine!
About half way through and we were starting to slow down! MUCH HARDER than we first thought!
Really starting to struggle now it was almost time to pull them apart and start eating piece by piece.....
So we did just that, pulled them apart and started with the heaviest items first!!!
Here i am with a massive chunk of meat coated in cheese, egg and bacon.... YUUUM!!!
In the end all we had left was a small portion of the rolls each.... we brought out the scales to see who was in front.....
I weighed in at 120 grams of roll left, and tim at 145 grams left....
Now we sat back, wondering if we could just put away the last little bits each.....
Nope, it was over.... A job very well done we thought, and i won the challenge at 120gms to 145gms!
Twas a top night!!!
And thats the end of my story!
