Hey hey,
Well a number of weeks ago I caught my Pair of N.Levis doing the Dirty Dance. Lol. Well, now, it has become fact that my young girl is now Gravid! It may not seem like that bigger deal to many people on this site BUT I am very excited!

I have removed from the Main Enclosure and placed her in a small fish aquarium measuring 400x150x200mm. I have supplied a Good nesting site (made from a cricket container) which I am using moist "Yellow Smooth" sand. The rest of the small Tank has a substrate of Albert red Plasters Sand. I will continue to feed her up with Crickets coated in Multivitamin, Calcium supplements etc and keep the nesting site moist. I have lined the bottom of the tank and Nesting site with tape incase she lays the Sticky eggs on the Tank/ Site Base (thanks for the advice Ian). Her tail is also getting a little thinner than usual.

It is also fact that due to this clutch being her first Clutch that there is a good chance they may be infertile. I hope NOT for this and hope she can lay a good, Viable Clutch.

Anyway, thanks for reading.

Thanks everyone!!!!!! Geckos will only ever lay 1 or 2 eggs..

I will let everyone know on her progress!

MoreliaMatt will be the lucky Owner if these hatch well.

:D

Excellent, congratulations Shawn.

Are you gonna try for more than one clutch this time, or give her a break and go full on next season?

Congrats Shawn, cross my fingers they are fertile. Least you know you have a good prospective breeding pair. That is always nice.

Shawn, keep the food right up and the tail thinning should be kept to a minumum.
I've found this year my girls have had no fat storage loss during most of their clutches and clutches have been as close as 17 days apart.
Good luck with it all.
I also leave my girls in the normal cage and have had no trouble removing eggs from the glass, but that's just personal choice :)

Just thought that I should inform everybody that Last Night at roughly 11:00pm (07-03-07) the female laid two quite Large, White, eggs. The two eggs look very large when compared to the size of the female and I would estimate they would have taken up to 50-60% of her Whole Body Weight!

I have placed them in an Incubating container with a 1:1 Medium of Vermiculite to water. 50:50 to be exact. I have set my Incubator to a constant 29oC.

I tell you what, she was alot easier to get to lay than my female Milii was LOL.

Wish me luck!
Shawn

Congradulations and good luck!!
My N. Levis laid an egg yesterday too!!

Great News Glider. Is it possible for you to get some measurements of your egg? Then we can compare egg sizes.

Also, what is your incubation Medium and temp?

Matt, you can see them Saturday.

Shawn im getting a female for my male and hoping they will breed in the future. I have heard of Albert Red plaster before. Can you let me know where to purchase it or of it comes under another name? Cheers and good luck.
