Can you please tell me how fast or slow, Native Flame Tree Brachychiton acerfolius Kurrajong grows? I would like to plant them along my fenceline but would prefer not if they are going to be seedlings for my life time...lol

You will have heaps of time to see the benefits of this plant. They have the same growth pattern as a floweriing gum.I planted one on top of my old dogs grave in 1994 and it's now 6 or 7 mtres tall.

An awesome tree,...you'll have to show us a pic in another 20 yrs ;)

I guess the spacing between each tree will be a fair few meters, must have a nice long driveway

Yeah, my Native Plant book says they grow up to 6m wide, so I'll space them 5m and they'll just be touching. I hope I will be here in 20 years time :) I'll definitely post pics up. I just ordered eight off Ebay.

I don't have a long drive way at the moment but will soon. Finally, after spending 37 years in suburban areas with little backyards, I am finally going to have a beautiful 40 acres around me :D Can't wait.

Yer they are big buggers, there is a monster at Norman Lindsay Gallery in Faulconbridge (Blue Mountains) NSW

40 acres, you won't know yourself, lets hope for many free range friendly reps ;)

All the best on the move and settling in processes,...bit jealous,..ok lots :)

Thank you Smithers :D . My land will be about the only lot in town where the reptiles will be welcome.
