ok i have been looking to change jobs for awhile now, i love the job i have but the hours just arent cutting it and i have a mortgage to pay. im looking for ANY work in the animal industry preferably permanent part time or fulltime. i have experience with most animals and have worked in a boarding kennel and riding school before. and have also done work experience in rspca and pet stores. i have a canine obedience trainer certificate and my coaching qualification aswell as a cert 3 in tourism. if any one knows of anything close to public transport (as i cannot drive ) that sounds suitable in the brisbane ipswich area please give me a heads up as im having no luck.

what is it with people on this forum caring about spelling so much what is every one on here a english teacher get over it its the internet theres going to be a lot of bad spelling going on

People who don't think spelling is important on "the internet" are right up there with people who own snakes just to look super cool! Chances are you're still writing passive aggressive comments on Facebook about that guy who you'll tell everyone about later but he knows who he is...

Nag, have you tried looking at pet stores and shelters in your area? There isn't much around in the way of working with animals right now (unless you have a certificate in Animal Handling.)

Edit: just had a look at Seek. Doesn't look like much :|

you might be working for a while to pay off a mortgage! are you set on doing something with animals? become a vet? ie, go back to uni. good pay, you get to help sick animals get nursed to health.

or if you are willing to change scenery, oil and gas is great. you only work half the year and the pay is great. as long as someone is around to look after your reptiles then its all good. i let me brother live in my house for free (he just has to buy his own food while im working) and he looks after my pets.

English is important unless you just wish to express random thoughts and/or cause great hilarity. For example

haha i love the last one... i would suggest looking at vet nursing Nagini, doesnt pay the most but it is working with animals. Or a pet shop which also does not pay alot .... lol unfortunately not many areas with animals do pay alot :O

Have you thought of starting up your own training school? Starting small, etc? Might be worth a shot :)

to be honest, id prefer to work with animals or children. (at the moment im working with both at once. im crazy right?) im a hands on kind of person. id die chained to a desk. but any kind of manual work i would be interested in. the only down side is it has to be accessable as i cant and never will be able to drive as i have a vision imparment. although i can see enough to drive the tractor at my current employment.

i had a dog walking busieness, in the early stages but where we live there isnt really a market for it.
