Need a place to stay for 10 days in melb

Hey all im comming to melbourne in a months time ( the 15th of march by the looks of it ) and i kinda need a place to stay i cant really afford a hotel for the time im gunn be there but am happy to sling a few dollars to anybody willing to house me for however long even if its only for like 2 days lol anyways if anybody thinks they may be able to put me up for a few days it would be very greatly appreciated if not ill have to wait a few months to save up a bit more.
got big plans for this trip it is kinda important

theres a few back packers hotels in the city that are fairly cheap and close to night clubs, casino etc.
If thats what your comming down for.
