Hi all, I received the following from a friend:
SNAKE! A 120cm brown snake is in my 45,000 litre tank. I have been pumping water from my windmill and connected it up to the tank. It has been empty for 6months. I heard a noise when I went in. I held the broom in my hand as I packed up my musical instruments. The snake was rearing up, flaring its neck and making threatening gestures. Soon it will have to swim.

Naturally, this disturbed me, and I've suggested calling in a snake handler immediately.
Are there any in the Bendigo area that I could put him onto? I've tried searching, but without much luck. I only seem to find courses...
Does anyone have any helpful advice? I see a bad situation happening, with the snake at great risk, and my friend behaving like an idiot. All help appreciated!
Thanks everyone, hope you're all having a great weekend. Peace & love xoxox ;)

Thanks timpye1...

Thanks for that, good idea!! I'll check it out. He has just told me he's not calling anyone, and will handle it himself, so I'll be calling someone!!

Thanks everyone, problem solved....

This from my friend (and no, he's not on anything, he's just an idiot):

I prepared for the encounter. I made a catcher with a loop of rubber scavenged from a surfer's ankle strap and a plastic tube. I could make a noose. I put on the thick pants and gumboots but kept my chest bare (as great warriors often do). I prepared my camera (as great documentary makers often do). I looked in the tank. Nothing. I climbed in. ... Nothing. Gone. How it could get out is beyond me but apparently, not beyond snakedom. Up the central post, along a rope and out a manhole- maybe. I checked the water for a corpse. Nothing. I didn't want a stinking dead snake to contaminate the chamber. Nothing.
