Need help- stimmy's tongue notcoming all the way out

Hi guys- just had my 12mth old stimmy shed his skin, and his tongue is not extending properly- only one half of his fork is coming out and thats it- this is the first time i've seen this- is it something to worry about? Ive checked the skin that he shed and the full mouth/ head came off fine.

just a bit concerned- havent seen this before.

When he does flicker his half fork, you can see a lump in his throat, almost like it's stuck.

Can something have caused this? - help.

could be cold .. i know snakes dont fully extend their tounges when cold

He was cold, you were right. He's put himself through brumation and rarely sits on the heat mat anymore- i'd just never encountered this problem before. thanks again

keep an eye out for symptoms of RI just incase.
ive heard that can cause a lump in the throat and make the forks stick together,...
