i was woundering if anyone knows australias or the worlds wild population of carpet pythons?

also if anyone knows anything about the evolution of carpet pythons would be great

I'm guessing this is for your assignment you posted on a few days ago..

population your going to have a trouble with I'll have a stab in the dark and go with 245,679,126

evolution check the link out..
Carpet Python
.
There's also a book titled "biology and evolution of Australian snakes" by Allen Greer that would have some helpful information.

Vens maybe you should get a govt grant, get on your moto and get a more accurate count.

i think there are lots of carpet pythons, so i wont bother talking about there population i talked about how they survive by using little energy and not eating for several months ect.
dose anyone know the name of them images that show where snakes split off from other animals? im presuming lizards.

i dont relly have enough time to buy and read a book, its due this week and im packed up with other assiments ect? but any websites you guys know would be great

Here is some literature on carpet pythons, movement, feeding, evolution etc. I have only read the abstracts but they seemed like they might be useful, its up to you to read them and see if there is anything there you can use

corey 2007 is just the introduction from a honours thesis but it may be the most useful as introductions often have a lot of background info. For the rest of them use the search function to find keywords IF you don't have time to read them all.

Also remember to reference them properly. I am hoping that you know how to do this but seeing as many uni students don't.... Look up "harvard referencing" in google and use either of the first 2 links. Corey is a dissertion/thesis while the other references are journal articles.
