I have a question for experienced Netted Dragon keepers. My little female has recently taken up on doing numerous arm signals the past week or so. They aren't exactly akin to arm waving as in Bearded Dragons, but are more so her arms are moving in a windmilling type of fashion. Sometimes she will do one arm, others she will do both. Sometimes after the arm signals she may bob her head. It's been baffling me and I was wondering if anyone knows what this means?

Can't help - never kept netteds (or seen many of them in the wild) .

Q :
can she see her own reflection ?

is there another netted in sight ? or another lizard ?

or is it only done for your benefit ?

Video of this would be helpful and likely charming and perhaps amusing to see.

I'm not an expert, but from what I know, it's communication, possibly submissive or dominance behavior, do you have more than one dragon in the enclosure? (not a good idea as they tend to fight)

They look so funny doing the aeroplane arm wave though, Netteds are very entertaining little creatures.

It would be awesome if I could record a video! However I don't think I could as she does it randomly, but I will try though.

Yes, there is another dragon in the enclosure (male). I don't think they are fighting as this particular pair have been housed together for years according to the previous owner. I haven't seen any form of aggression thus far with them, they seem to coexist rather peacefully and both don't seem to be showing any signs of stress. They're active and eating well.

Through further observation, I am beginning to think that it may be some sort of courtship ritual, as the male has been attempting to mate with her now. He does a fair amount of head bobbing, while kind of prancing around at the same time, but he's been doing it longer. Perhaps now she has decided to be receptive towards his advances?
