So got a new Bredli who is approaching a year in age he has been in his new home for 48 hours so he is still getting use to his invironment. The first day that I got him he handled well no problems however last night while trying to get him out of his cage he tagged me which is no big issue, however I could not get him off my finger I just waited for him to release. In the future is there anyway to get him to release? And is there anything that I am doing that is contributing towards his cage aggression? The bite did not hurt or anything just surprised me that he would not let go. Perhaps he is hungry? And thoughts or feedback would be great.

cheers Ryan

Handling "most" snakes at night involves a risk as for the majority its their natural feeding time/zone GTP's is a great eg. lambs at day "bloody ordinary" at night for the vast majority solar 17

ditto to what solar 17 said, for him to tag you and hang on is a feeding response. if you want to hold him at night open his cage and let him come out rather than you going in. sudden movements at night in his enviroment will trigger a food response. I would feed him tonight by the sound of it

So its a new snake..more info regarding what u have been told so far...feeding /how offen/temps in enclosure and size/and any thing regarding records kept from its 1st yr...............apart from that...... what Solar has said ^^^^^^....and keep to the basics

Most people on here say dont touch them for a week after purchase.
They need time to settle in, don't rush it, they live for a long time.
