:D I love your stories fuscus ! Go yogi..."smarter than the average bear! "

Plus, we would probably get him mixed up with Hix due to all the hair....

hix x huggy!
hair and build of them = yogi!
ha ha ha ha i love it!

Because I'm a picky little prick, I'm just gonna mention that the bear in the photo is not a North American Black Bear, but a Malaysian Sun Bear.

Journalists are just so-zoologically inept.

Hairy Hix

Whats happened is that some on has done the story and the editor or someone decides that they want a photo of a drunk looking bear. So they go the the stock footage and drag out a bear photo. You have to give them credit though, the bear in the photo is black (but some black bears are brown).

Yeah, I used to work with journos. They probably had no idea. If they did, they didn't care 'coz 'the public won't know the difference'.

I should state that not all journos are like that - just a lot of the ones I've come into contact with. ("Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story!")

Black bears come in a range of colours including brown blue, cinnamon, russett, and there's even a white Black Bear (found in Canada, known as the Ghost Bear or Spirit Bear).

:p
