New Toy

Bought myself several new toys today - 512MB memory stick, spare camera battery, and this little beauty.

Actually, it's not really a toy as it has a very practical purpose: to prevent those low-life scumbags who stole my first digital camera from helping themselves to my current camera.

And because of another event a couple of months ago, I bought a model that is fireproof. LOL

Not bolted to the floor yet, but weighs 50kg, so would require two people to move it and even then they would find it difficult. And they'd have a bugger of a time getting into it. I almost burst a blood vessel in my forehead just getting it out of the car by myself.

Bolt it down buddy. Floor and wall 50 kg is not really that heavy, I have had safes stolen from work which, while heavy, were only screwed to Gyprock walls lol, which meant I had to get the walls fixed as well as replace the safe

According to the cops, the dickheads that burgle homes around here are usually on foot. They're after small, lightweight things they can quickly grab and shove ina bag that won't be noticed when they walk down the street. My doors are deadbolted, so they'd need to smash a window to get it out.

But I take your point, just need the landlords permission before I put more holes in his new carpet.
