In previous years, professional photographers were required to have a Permit for "Commercial Activities" (photography and filming) in all Qld National Parks, Reserves, etc..
In the new Policy, this restriction has been lifted and provided there is no more than 2 people involved in such activity, no permit is required.

Like with reptile keeping policies and regulations, Qld is the leader in sensible and workable PR. Congratulations DERM.

Does that give them the legal right to disturb wildlife for the shoot Waterrat?

Sandee, I don't know if it's of their web. I rang our NQ headquarters wanting to verify that the Permit I have (now invalid) also covered traversing areas with limited vehicular access. I have been advised about this new policy that abolished the need for ..... as mentioned above.

Junglepython2, no, wildlife is not to be disturbed, not even under the old Permit.
