I'm pretty bummed about missing this festival to be honest. Megadeth, NOFX, Frenzal, Descendents and the mighty GWAR. But a little knock to the head, and the piddling down rain meant that I couldn't make it. :(

Anyway...after about 0.8 seconds of Youtube searching, I can live my sunday vicariously through the amazing video efforts of certain youtubers :D

Heres GWAR...spewing I missed these guys. They had a giant T-Rex on stage dammit :(

Here's Frenzal doing 'Bird Attack'...sounds a hell of a lot like the Meanies to me (not a bad thing)

Did anyone here go to this festival??? I know it was pretty miserable and wet in Bris.

Descendants weren't as good as Id hoped - Milos voice just wasn't there, but GWAR ruled as expected ;)

even with the rain it was a great day,and a great lineup. i enjoyed the descendants. even though milos voice blew out there were plenty of great fill in singers from nofx, dropkick murphys, frenzel etc.

G'day Brad,

We do a lot of backstage stuff for most of the festivals that come through Brisbane, including No Sleep Til. It was awesome but I definitely wouldn't have been there if I had to be out with the crowd. Frenzal were awesome but I was definitely disappointed when they only played a couple of their bigger songs - they didn't play You Are Not My Friend, Never Had So Much Fun, All Your Friends Think You're...etc. Dropkick Murphy's didn't play the Spicy McHaggis Jig either!

Megadeth were disappointing - we checked them out for about 5 minutes but even with the comfort of being undercover I still wanted to go home to bed.

Fingers crossed Descendents will be back.

I'm stoked DOA are coming back in March too :D

dude,

GWAR were incredible as were me first and NOFX. descendents were disdappointing because they were forced to have all those guests vocalist cause milo lost his voice and couldnt sing much at all being a fan of descendents since i was about 15 kinda meant they didnt live up to my expectations they did say theyll be back with a voice.

Jonno dropkicks havent played that song since spicey left the band. the new piper just looks like a younger spicey though haha.

Personally i cant wait for social D next year, and suicidal tendencies

Jonno,

I had no idea you guys did events like that. Gotta admit that's pretty cool :D

I think Megadeth would have been interesting. I'm not the biggest fan. Musically I love them, but his voice is like rubbing my eardrums with a cheese grater. I hear that Nofx were paying out on them quite a bit. Would have been funny to see some behind the scenes stuff to see if nofx played any pranks on Mustaine.

I don't think Frenzal have played 'You are not my friend' for aaaages. Wonder if these guys have got another album in them, or they're happy enough to write the odd new song and just pull from the back catalogue of songs live. They always pull pretty decent sized crowds.

GWAR have said they're coming back, as have the Descendents. No doubt NOFX will be back (hopefully with Bad Religion again).

A lot of people have said that 3 Inches of Blood were pretty good too.

Must admit I'm looking forward to Suicidals too. Pretty handy that Mike Muir lives on the Sunshine Coast :D

Good to hear that Megadeth didn't put up a good show.
I saw them a few years ago with Arch Enemy.
I've only been going to small local gigs such are Rosies and Step Inn lately and had to give this festvial a miss.:(

I've been busy as hell lately. Haven't been to a gig for awhile. Think the last one was Coffins at the Hi-fi bar... and they were incredible. Love my doom and sludge :D

Jannico...I reckon standing around watching bands for 8 or so hours in the rain would really suck the fun out of things.

I don't know, Mud and Mosh pit sounds like fun.
But I generally like the music better at Rosies.
I'm a death metal fan boy.
