Northern Territory Remote Communities

Ok I know a couple of you work out in the communities, I work as a technician and head out to these communities a lot. Usually just a fly in / fly out but over the next few months I am doing some major work bringing all my branches up to scratch. So I will be spending up to Four days or so in each community. Since I am going to be out in these communities for such a long time by myself I would love some locals who could spare some time to hang with me.

Especially awesome reptile enthusiasts.

I can easily bring supplies from Darwin, food, KFC, haha I carry a lot of technical gear so generally fly by charter. First up I will be hitting Galiwinku/Elcho at the end of this month. I couldn't remember if anyone here lived out there or might know someone there

When you're heading out my way definately hit us up, i think you already said that you know my mate Josh who lives out here too? Or am i thinking of another Darwin girl... My olds live in Numbulwar but i don't think they'll take you herping.

Ah I *know* Josh & Kate but I know Daniel & Rhiannon better. That would be awesome not sure when Gun is on the list I was hoping to talk my work into letting me do the drive there so that puts it back at about May.

Small small world! Well small Darwin world anyway. Dan and Rhiannon visit every now and then too, you should try and get them out aswell then we can have a big party! Thank god for liquor permits!

I recon it could be later than may this year, with this crazy wet season. It happened last year, we had a break in the weather after only 2 monsoons (Darwin didn't but we did lol). I even called the wet season as over in April, but NOOOOPE in came two more BIG monsoons for us and kept the river up until mid May. And i don't think the road officially opened until the first week of June.

Just looked through my msgs, it was Eddie-the-snake who told me they know Josh... I guess that makes the world even smaller lol.

Oh man good old Darwin unpredictable wet.. because if work was paying the fuel costs why not bring Dan & Rhi out with me!! to be honest though If im chartering i can usually fit extra people on the plane.

With a name like Eddie I wouldn't have thought they were a girl.
