Not a grasshopper Sdaji, but i thought you may like it just the same.... I went north of the Daintree river the other day and found this guy hanging from a palm branch. I think it maybe a peppermint stick insect?....I could not believe when i touched it, it shot some stinking spray out of two holes in its back, quite visible streams not unlike the way your car windscreen wiper washer does.....amazing, done it at least four times before it settled down....among other odd insects was a extreamly fat prey mantus....

Almost looks like plastic. Great photos!!!

Heres a couple photos of the prey mantus. Couldnt get a really get a good close-up as i think he could see himself in the lens and was trying to get at his reflection every time i tried..... Heres a photo of the wife pretending to be stuck in a 'spider web' gate......I hope to catch up to the owner next time as i've been told his collection of insects and acachnids is second to none....great entrance, got love the guy's passion...

Cetainly is a fat praying mantis. The guy must love arachnids to have a gate like that - awesome.

lol, Great pics. But they creeped me out. Except for the nice lady in the spider web of course.

Creeping things are just too ...um creepy.

Is that an insect themepark? love the gate! :D

"Arachnid park" Maybe.
