I am flying to Melbourne tomorrow (Wed 23rd) for work related issues. :)

I am looking forward to see some of your pet shops with reptiles for sale in them.
Not to buy them just to see how the poor things are being kept, as I have heard many bad things about them.
I hope to see most of them being looked after.

I recently moved back from QLD (To Sydney) and the few shops I saw that sold reptiles up there were OK, so I'll see what the southerners are doing.

Here is a list of suburbs I will be breifly visiting:

Eastland
Chadstone
Frankston
High Point
Knox
Melbourne Central
Northland
QV Melbourne
Southland
St Kilda

Considering I have never been to Melbourne & I have to find all the places and conduct a site survey on each, I think I am going to be busy on my 3 day visit.

Gotta get back to work. The boss + client are here.

Will you have access to a car?

The only place I can think of that is on this beaten track is (from memory) Up Market Pets - which are near the Queen Victoria Market. I have never been there but they have made the news a couple of times.

It sounds like you are doing a shopping center crawl. I have never come across a reptile for sale in one of the big shopping centers.

Highpoint is right around the corner from us if ya wanna pop by :D

What do you do for work that's sending you to all our shopping centres lol ;)

I think there's a petshop in St Kilda that sells herps - Ouzo can verify this though. I think that's where her first diamond came from ;)

Yup it's an aquarium but last time I went in there (YONKS ago) they said they were getting out of snakes but would probably still keep lizards. They had this awesome bright yellow ackie that's not for sale and their 2 snakes Arnie the coastal and Monty the diamond live there permanently :p. Nice people but pretty expensive  ;)

I have to survey all New Zealand Natural Shops for a refit/reimage.

68 shops across Australia. Bit I dont get to go to all states, dam it!!. I get contractors to do what I cant get to.

Yeh it is the ice cream mob, NO!!! I dont work for them, ha ha if thats what your thinking.
I am only doing their reimaging of their current look.

I will most definatly try my best to see all I can. I hope to knock all the sites over by thursday arvo, so I can look around on Friday.
Then fly back about 3pm.

It's going to be bloody cold isnt it.

MOOSE!!! Geez you're being ridiculous now...I saw some blue sky today and it was at LEAST for 2 minutes!!! :D ;)

Melbourne,- you poor poor soul. I feel so sorry for you even if it is just a visit. Isn't that australias bum.
Rob

Just to let you know, there are no petshops that sell reptiles in Knox City Shopping Centre :p Amazing Amazon is up the road from The Glen and Fish n Feather is in Kilsyth but they don't seem to be on your list :)

Some unique pet shops that sell reptiles which i have recently been to, that might be of interest to you are Amazing Amazon. (Glen Waverly), Australian bird company. Yes lol! that sells reptiles, native wildlife and a large erray of birds. (Springvale). Mentone aquarium (Mentone) duh! and Melbourne reptile warehouse. (Preston). Hope this helps...

I had a Melbournenite organise the approach of the suburbs, it seems if I do pull my finger out on the first 2 days I will have friday to run around and have a look at things and get paid for it.

It's gonna be hard to get through 12 sites in 2 days, but if I stay busy at least I will stay warm.
