Not quite. I saw a documentary where a mongoose was bitten by a cobra and it almost died. It lay motionless for hours. It did eventually come to it though and eat the cobra. So in a way, yes that is correct but they can be affected quite severely.

pfft mongooses suck, go the honey badgers! in a documentary one killed a puff adder but got bit. was a bit ill for the next 2 hours, came out of it and ate the snake and walked off! now thats tough!
