Paint help!!

Hi I am building a tank and my mum bought what she thought was water based paint but was actually turps based (I only found out when i was trying to get it off my hands). I painted inside the tank will that hurt the snake if I put him in it? I am letting it sit for about a week but I am worried that it will hurt my snake. My question is:
Will the turps based paint hurt my snake?
