Can someone help me with what this could be please. I thought it was part of the shedding process but Im not so sure now. Pale head started to appear maybe 8/9 days ago now. Has become more prominent and his back legs are now pale too. Is it some sort of bacteria or fungus or is it just shedding as I thought it was? Its not rough or furry, it seems to feel as normal, cant see any lifting of skin at all and im not so sure its shedding anymore.

Sometimes they do a "deep shed" which takes longer and is thicker. It's completely normal. Nothing to worry about.

I'm not sure where you've heard this but there is no such thing as a "deep shed".

Other breeders. It's like a bigger shed than other sheds.

It may just be a few here that refer to it as that? Either way...the white shedding that seems like it's taking longer than usual...is normal.
