Does anybody keep these? They're such awesome little critters.. look like mini sea turtles.. They're such a great turtle.. I would definitely be keen to keep one one day.

How much are they? Difficult to look after? Do they need the same requirements of a dock to get out on or is that impossible?

Post up some pictures!

Hard to care for... turtle_alex has given the best advice!

They are simple to care for but setting up is hard...temp needs to be between 28-30c and no U.V. I think i was told before that they are sensitive with their water?

How is heating a tank to 28/29c hard.

As long as the water is clean, using a good quality canister filter there has been no more difficult setting up then a goldfish tank.

A normal aquarium heater will do, I prefer to have more than one incase of a failure and also so there is less strain on each heater.

Other than that, I don't see that as being hard.

The only thing 'hard' about them is the size they can obtain.

So just a tank with a normal tank heater, and a good quality canister filter and that's it? Sounds like a piece of cake! They don't even need basking or UV too.. bonus. Hopefully one day I'll keep one.

Many people keep them here? Would love some photos

Got any photos of yours gillsy?
I'm not equipped or funded enough to get a pignose, but one day maybe.. When I have some more money to my name and I'm not just a student! That and a rough scaled python hahaha
