ok, I don't know if I'm panicking over nothing or somthing REALLY important. I fed my snake today, a small strip of paper (from his bedding) got stuck to the wet fur of the mouse, he was already tightning around it, I pulled off what I could, but he is going to eat that little bit, will it hurt him? Also, I just noticed he had a scrape on his back around his middle, it is pink, I think some scales got scratched off or somthing, I looked at him yesterday, and I didn't see it yesterday. I can't post a pic cause he is eating, please reply soon, before I have a panic attack, will a bit of paper kill him, and will a small scrape kill him overnight, just till I can call the vet in the morning?? HELP

Relax - a small bit of paper should be totally fine :) What sort of paper do you use? No need to panic.

With the scrape, is there anything particularly abrasive in the enclosure? Could it be a burn? It may not be a scrape, it could be something else.

Your python may be okay, but just to be on the safe side (any wounds can get infected and cause issues) getting it to the vet tomorrow or next week would definitely not hurt.

I'm sure it is fine :)

They digest bone, paper won't have any ill effect at all.

snakes have extremly powerful digestive acids a scrape of paper wont matter,If your worried about the scrape just put some f1o or similar on it try keep it clean

Ok, thanks heaps! I'll have a good look at the sore tommorow
