Hi All,

Can someone please ID this guy for me.
He's 'adopted' my sister & visits her daily - so need to know what to offer this guy.
I have no intention of guessing his sp. as I'm sure to make an a$$ of myself - any pros out there?

Cheers.

My guess would be Eastern Water Dragon.I don't know much about Dragon's though.

Sorry should have mentioned the location - in Qld - West of Brisbane - outer suburbs.
Thanks

....hmm...she does have an above-ground pool...water dragon you say?

Ladies & Gentlemen, we have a winner!
Any tips on the diet of a EWD?
Same as my Beardie?

Yep Definately EWD!

offer insects (crickets and woodies etc)

i make my own nice concoction for my ewd's consisting of roo mince and chicken and vegies.....

they will take dog food as treats too i use the little sachets of "little champions" because they are in small pieces... not a big loaf....

theres a link to my recipe, i freeze in blocks and defrost and cut up as needed......

Yes, you have a Common Eastern Water Dragon (Physignathus Lesueurii).

Very common along the Eastern Coastline. Inhabits Lake and River areas and quite happily lives in close area with Humans. Hatchlings feed on Crickets, Woodies and fresh vegies and Fruit. Adults on Mice, Insects and as Matt has mentioned, you can create special treats for them.
