G'day all.
I have an 11 month old BHP. He feeds regularly except when shedding.
My question is, how often should he taking a dump? How efficient is their digestive system? I've had him 6 months now and only had to pooper scoop 5 times. He doesn't look bloated, he seems healthy to look at, and isn't tender in any particular spot when I handle him. I collect some hard white substance when he urinates, which I assume is the calcium from the meal bones.
Also, at what age are snakes considered adults? I'm feeding him small adult rats once a week. When should I stretch it out to once a fortnight?
Any advice would be much appreciated. šŸ˜Ž

He is fine, he will poop when he needs to. 5 times in 6 months is rather good. Their digestive system is good, but like people, they poop when they feel like it. Make sure it has water and it will be good, there is no hard and fast rule for this to happen. Some people put time frames on it, but they are all different.
