Positive note!

One thing that ive noticed happening in the past 6-12 months is despite great changes , differences between people, the birth of a new site, etc etc, Is that the herp community has grown and its members have developed a strong kinship/bond, as evidenced by genuine support shown each other in bad times and good, and examples of kind spontaneous generous guestures to others. You all know who you are, pat yourselves on the back.
I remember a long while ago thinking this was "just words on the internet". This thinking has changed vastly beyond words, and im proud to part of a great hobby among a great bunch of people. I consider you all far more than "words on screen", I consider you all freinds !
We will weather the downs, enjoys the 'up's' together, encourage newbys,
spread the pleasure we get from reptiles to as many as possible.
Long live our community on both sites!

Yes one of my mates wonders why i spend a lot of time on this site i think it is because of the feeling of friendship not just words typed on a screen ...and the common bond of reptiles its just nice to talk to like minded people and not get the eeewwww that you get from so many others !

Theres not many other internet type groups where you can bung on a billy ray wig, get beaten up by a kendo champ, be hassled about anything and everything and still have a beer all in good fun!!!!

The last year or so of my life has been great, and i think it has been that way due to the friends ive made on here. It keeps me sane, and lets me share my love of the hobby with others.

I have met a heap of people of the last year that were just names on APS, but are now friends and ppl who's company I enjoy. I regularly talk to and see many mambers on hear and have started some great friendships that I am sure will last forever. :lol:

Mick, I spend ages on here too, just like having a beer down the pub with your mates if you ask me.
