hi,im getting a beardy posted to me in afew days from port maquarie(im in sydney).Ii was tlkin to the guy about how it was going to work,he told me that it would be sent down by truck and it would leave from his place at 5pm and arrive at my house at 11am the next day.Do u reckon this is the way to go?Its gunna b in a box for 18hrs :shock: .What do u guys think?

i personally wouldnt do it. this would cause a lot of stress for the beardy. even if its with a courier and legal, I work for a major courier company and i would never send anything by road. plenty of beardies available in sydney and surrounding areas why port mac???

i had 9 sent from s.a. to nth qld by plane, it was about 12 hours from sending to picking them up, they arrived in good condition and haven't looked back, as long as they are packed right, i don't see any troubles, once in the bag they just go to sleep, i think a lot of people who have never sent animals think it's bad, but until you have sent or recieved reptiles this way you can't really know either way, but all the same, this comment is only based on my own experiance on recieving reptiles 8 different times from victoria, sth aust, nsw, brisbane and cairns, all reptiles arrived in top condition and didn't have any troubles,

i was presuming they meant by courier, and as long as they are treated ok and not thrown around they should not stress out, the first question i would asked was if the driver knew how to handle live animals, i'm sorry if i misunderstood, i would never recieve anything by mail as it's not allowed and everybody knows how the mail is treated,
