Pregnant Beardie Help?

Hey all.....I think I am going to be a dad!
I think my beardie is up the duff.....What the hell do I do now?
Can anyone give me a bit of info on,
1.how long does it take from deed to laying?
2.do I seperate the dad?
3.What do I provide for a laying box/substrate?
4.Once layed what temp to incubate at?
You get the idea.
Thank you.

1. 3-6 weeks
2. yes as he will keep trying to mate with the female
3. deep plastic tub full of sand
4. 30deg

hay mate, rather than have all this info typed again, just do a search on it. You'll find a heep ofinfo already on here, and some pretty recent stuff too.

If after that, your still a bit up in the air, ask away

Cheers

Hey mate,

I use a cricket container to put my beardie eggs in and i use Vermiculite for the substrate.
I put in 40gs of Vermiculite and add 40gs of water to the vermiculite and mix it together (40:40)

I use a water Incubator for the eggs and have had good succes with it.

and extra food sun and calcium fro the little lady!! :)

She just layed 1 egg....how long does it normally take?
How many eggs do you normally get ?
she is constantly digging but not laying.
:?

well presuming its her first clutch, i'm guessing it will be smallest? then getting bigger from there untill she gets old. so prepare for the worst, a lot of clutches you'll see average at about 15-25 eggs, but in saying that they can lay up to 4 clutches

2nd egg

O.K she has only just layed her second egg.
This seems to be taking a long time.
Is this normal?

How old & how big is she length wise, & what temps have u got in her enclosure?
They usually lay them all at once..........so something needs sorting:|

She is only about 14 mths old and length is a bit hard as her tail tip it missing but as a estimate about 17" or 43cm and temps are at 30c

Has she laid anymore?? Is she lethargic or off her food??
30C seems hot to us, but is way too cool for a beardie - get them up to around the 40C mark basking spot, with cool end around 28C.
If she hasn't laid anymore, I'd be getting her to the vet. She's young but a good size, but she should at that size be capable of carrying anywhere from 10-20 eggs at least.
Have u also been feeding her heaps!, dusting her live feeders with calcium, & heaps of fresh veg & fruit?
Hope she's OK - please let us know - Kathy

All is fine.
Got home from work monday night and she had layed an additional 19 eggies so I have a total of 21 now.
Thanks all for your help and advice.
Cheers
